Playing the Game
GiantCrayon WordSoup is very simple to play.
Just attempt to guess all of the possible anagrams for the given letters in the time allotted. If you guess the mystery word, the longest word possible, you advance to the next round.
When a game starts, GiantCrayon WordSoup will choose a mystery word from its wordlist, and then generate at least 15 possible anagrams for the selected word. The mystery word's letters are displayed on sticky notes at the bottom of the chalkboard, but the letters are scrambled up.
You will have a fixed amount of time to uncover all of those possible anagrams.
Anagrams are guessed by typing the letters shown on the sticky notes, and then pressing the "Return" key on your keyboard.
You can also drag the sticky notes around using your mouse, but many players find typing to be faster.
To help you think of new anagrams,
GiantCrayon WordSoup will re-scramble the
sticky notes for you - just press the
spacebar or click the scramble button, shown
here.
The time elapsed is shown by a chalk
circle; when you have fewer than 15 seconds remaining,
the clock will play a ticking clock sound.
When you guess the mystery word correctly, a cheerful sound will play, and the mystery word will be revealed in red letters. Congratulations - you will advance to the next round!
